Some of the smallest changes in your behavior can have a drastic impact on the insect world. I will cover a few things that you can do to help keep the insects outside thus reducing the amount of chemicals used in our environment, every little bit helps!! I THINK IT'S OUR JOB TO MAKE THE WORLD LAST A LITTLE LONGER WITH THE REDUCTION OF PESTICIDES AND OTHER CHEMICALS USED IN AND AROUND OUR HOMES! IT STARTS WITH YOU AND I!!!
The number 1 thing I see as an Exterminator is people putting the recycling bins too close to the foundation of the home! Even rinsing these recyclable containers the sugars in our soft drinks and other consumable liquids are still present and are a major food source to many ant species.
Another is the garbage bins again too close to the foundation, when we throw away the left overs from todays meal it starts to decompose, during decomposition carbon dioxide is being produced, insects find their food sources by the monitoring of C02.. Having your trash bins close to the house will basically bait them in by the excess CO2 being omitted from the waste products, if you must keep them close to the house tightly placed lids will help reduce the leaking of the Co2 but it will not stop it, always try and keep recyclables and waste bins as far way from your foundation as possible.

2. yard work is important to maintain public status but what you do with the clippings is just as important clippings are nothing more than organic materials starting the decomposition process so raking and removing the clippings and leaf matter is very important!
Well I'm not giving away all my secrets in one blog so I will sign off for now Happy Mothers Day to all !!!
